Our Unique Shop For Your Parents Day Celebrates Its 9th Anniversary!
On Saturday, December 12, Loaves & Fishes will hold its ninth annual “Shop for Your Parents Day.” Located at the Shriver Job Corps Center, 270 Jackson Road, Devens, this special day includes a family breakfast, a visit from Santa Claus, and, of course, “shopping”. This program provides an opportunity for children of Loaves & Fishes clients to select and wrap presents for their parents or guardians at no cost. In addition, seniors and adults living alone are each provided with a gift bag.
We are pleased to announce that in addition to Shriver Job Corps, Bristol-Meyers Squibb will be a 2009 Shop for Your Parents Sponsor. BMS has been a supporter of this program since their arrival at Devens and the program is lucky to have their partnership and support. In addition to cash donations, we are looking for new gifts with a value between $10 and $15, such as:
Gloves
Winter scarves & hat sets
Slippers (medium and large)
Perfume
Watches
Sports related items and clothing
Tools
Men's clothing
Gently used jewelry
Please remember that except for jewelry, all gifts must be new. Also needed are holiday gift bags, boxes and wrapping paper.
